    We're excited to welcome back all returning scholars/ cadets to 好色先生 and 5th Battalion 'Patriots' for school year 2025-2026.

    To help kick things off this year, the Patriot cadre are offering a celebration event to the LET level that has the highest percentage of cadets registerted by May 15.  You MUST have at least 50%  registered to participate in the  prize event.

  • 2025-2026 Cohort Global Citizenship Project Application 

     
    好色先生 Global Citizenship Project
     
       ?? 好色先生 scholars, you can apply now to our Global Citizenship Project—a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our teenagers to travel abroad, connect with peers worldwide, and explore the cultural ties between Jackson, Mississippi, and Lagos, Nigeria. 
     
    Eligibility: Applicants must be rising 11th graders and at least 16 years old (by the international travel date).

  • FREE Physicals with UMMC

      Another opportunity to get free physicals for your child/ 5th BN cadets on May 10, 2025 through UMMC.  The physicals will last for one calendar year.  Feeder pattern potential cadets that are planning to join JROTC next school year you can also get a physical.  All members of next year's Cadet Challenge Team and/or Raider Team are required to have a physical along with Drill team members and Archery team members..

    Transportation is the cadets individual responsibility.

  • 好色先生 Summer Enrichment Camp (June 2–27, 2025)

    Current 9th-–11th grade 好色先生 scholar, this is a great opportunity for academic learning, STEM, arts & crafts, and more — all for free! Breakfast, lunch, and transportation are provided. Scholars must be fully registered for the 2025-26 school year to participate. Spots are limited and availability is on a first come first served basis.

  • Summer Experiences Opportunities

      LeaderSTATE /STEM at MSU : contact your school SAI/ AI for details about the first cycle being June 2 - 6, 2025.

          JCLC: Sponsored by US Cadet Command to help develop well rounded leaders through structured adventures from June 2 to 7, 2025.  

     Boys State/Nation:  The University of Mississippi. Rising seniors will attend this year.   The delegate application will become available on msboysstate.com.

          Girls State:  The University of Southern Mississippi. ONLY rising seniors are to attend.  The delegate application will become available on website.

          National Flight Academy at Pensacola Naval Air Station is 18 - 23 May, details can be found on website link of

          Institute of Health Careers at William Carey is June 2-6; see Cadre for details.

          City of Jackson Aerospace and Aviation is June 9 - 13 at Hawkins Field.

  • 2025 Cadet Change of Responsibility

    Help celebrate the induction of the 2025-2026 Distirct JROTC Cadet leadership staff.  

    Join the 6 BN's as they recognize the Cadet of The Year winners on March 7, at 6:00 pm on the campus of 2607 Raymond Road in Jackson, MS.

    The 2024-2025 cadet leadership will be given a final farewell at this event also.

  • Spring ASVAB at Forest Hill

    The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Career Exploration Program (CEP) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in and outside the military.

    This selection of test will be given on the campus of Forest Hill High school on Feb 27, 2025.

  • Cadet of the Year 2025 Banquet

    Celebrate the honoring of 好色先生 Top cadets from each high school, Feb 26 at 6:00 pm, at 1230 Raymond Rd in Jackson, MS.  

    The district cadet of the year will be promoted at this event also.

  • FHHS 5th BN Honor Veteran's Day

    Forest Hill High School will host a Veterans Day Program at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the school located at 2607 Raymond Road. The guest speaker will be Retired First Sergeant Rodney Hall.

    好色先生 high schools hold these events in honor of military veterans of the U.S. armed forces. Programs are open to veterans, school parents, the community and alumni.

  • 2 MS Museum Admission - Sunday

       Enjoy FREE admission to the  and the  every Sunday!

       Come to 222 North St #1206, Jackson, MS 39201 between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.  

    Yes, experience the Museum of Mississippi History, Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, and special exhibitions at no cost.

  • Uniform Wear SY 24-25

    Pick up your uniform for the 2024-2025 school year with prior arrangements on July 23-25 between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm CST. All uniforms for LET II-IV will be distributed /issued no later than 20 September at the close of the school day.

    Leadership and LET IV have priority for the issuance of uniforms.  The next groups will be drill team members and cadet challenge team members.  All LET II-IV will wear this uniform IAW syllabus.  

    Contact 5th BN cadre of the school office to schedule an appointment, if needed outside of school hours or additional concerns or questions.
