High School Freshman Family Night:
July 21 (6:00-7:00) - "Navigating High School" - Parents and students will learn about graduation requirements, diploma options, schedules, understanding GPAs, career and technical education programs through CDC, career academies, etc. and other topics that incoming freshmen should know to help navigate high school. 

July 28 (6:00-7:00) - "Overview of Canvas" - Parents and students will be provided an overview of Canvas, the Learning Management System that will be used in all high schools. A demonstration/model of a high course will be utilized during the overview to provide a realtime view/functionality of the platform.   

August 4 (6:00 - 7:00) - "Wraparound Supports for Freshmen in 好色先生" - Dr. Marion with Marion Counseling Services will discuss ways that parents can provide social and emotional supports to their child from home, and types of supports that will be availabe to students virtually and in-person. Ms. Lavine-Slater and Freshman Academy Assistant Principals will discuss the supports embedded in the Freshman Academy model.

Freshman Orientation:
August 9 (4:00 - 6:00) - "Freshman Orientation" - Parents and students will meet all 9th grade teachers, administrators, and support staff. Teachers will provide a brief overview of their course. The administrative team will provide parents with an overview of the high school schedule and the "week-at-a-glance."
