Mrs. Renada Singleton

Renada Singleton is the interim principal of McLeod Elementary School.  She has been in the academic realm for over 20 years.  She holds degrees in elementary education and Education Leadership.

She has served in various capacities within the field of education from instructional assistant to the current role of interim principal.  While working to become a certified teacher, she worked as an instructional assistant with a neighboring district as well as the now closed Woodville Heights Elementary School.  After gaining certification, she worked as a 4th grade teacher and later as a 3rd grade teacher at Timberlawn Elementary.  She later worked as an assistant principal within the state and interventionist at Shirley Elementary School.

Dr. Singleton is excited to move the school forward to accomplish the district's mission of providing world-class learning experiences to all students.  She believes each scholar deserves access to a quality education that values their individuality, interests, abilities and talents.  Dr. Singleton uses the school motto "Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow" to serve as a reminder to scholars that their efforts and perseverance put in today prepares them to be leaders of tomorrow.
