Greetings
"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."- Steve JobsCallaway High School's Library Mission
It is the mission of the media specialist to provide an environment that promotes the healthy development of learning styles, addresses the needs, and adapts to the trends of today's students. At Callaway High School, it is my goal to foster a love for reading and ignite a fire for learning through various mediums found on our shelves and on the world wide web. I also, hope that students of all ages will discover the many methods and modes for learning within the library. I encourage inquisitive exploration into current, past, and emerging events as the library is the conduit by which knowledge is gained, verified, shared, and preserved. Remember, learning is both a voluntary and involuntary action; therefore, it is my hope that your involvement in learning is voluntary and active. I sincerely hope that within these walls and on these physical and virtual shelves you find a love for learning. Feel free to use me as a resource so that together, we can discover the things unknown, unearth the things forgotten, and create the things unimagined. Knowledge is a lifelong accomplishment that cannot be measured, limited, or taken away.
